She was raised by her father. She divorced her parents when she was five. She hoped to be jockey when she was a young girl however due to the size of her body, it was not an option. Stone was raised and born to Sydney, Australia. She went to the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, and she attended the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Stone's acting career began as young, and she played in Me Myself I. and The Farm. The main area of her work was theater. She was named Best Newcomer at the Sydney Theatre Awards 2008 and the award for Best Supporting Actress in The Kid. She also appeared in supporting characters on All Saints, Spirited and various other television shows. In 2010, she was a lead actor in The Diary of a Madman. This role earned her a second nomination for the Sydney Theatre Awards as Best Supporting actor. In February of 2011 she traveled in New York to perform in the Brooklyn Academy of Music's production The Diary of a Madman and then returned to the the lead roles of A Golem Story, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, as well as As You Like It in Sydney.
